Food At Our House This Weekend





Homemade doughnuts, tomatoes and basil from the garden, and our favorite lunch affectionately named "Snack Bar" by my 5 year old.
The homemade doughnuts are a treat around here. I have an awesome overnight buttermilk doughnut recipe that is easy to prepare. I've got to say, though, I hate deep frying. It's messy, there is the oil to dispose of, and I suppose it can be pretty unhealthy if you do it too often. I almost always burn myself somehow too. Ugh!

But you really can't beat homemade donuts, so it's worth it. Now I feel like I need to use the oil a few more times before we dispose of it so I'm going to make fried chicken for dinner tomorrow night. Another treat!

Ok, what's the deal with all my spacing between caption and paragraphs? I want to be good at blogging, I just don't have time to figure it all out!

Homemade doughnuts, I want to ask for the receipe but I'm afraid I'll use it too much! I love the "snack bar" lunch, what a great idea. :)
